Jim Markel oversees all aspects of acquisition and disposition analysis for The DT Group. With extensive experience in the commercial real estate arena, Markel provides strategic direction and oversees property purchases, income and expense evaluation, general management and property resale.
During the past ten years, Markel has managed the purchasing, management and redevelopment of more than $500 million of investment real estate on a national scale. He was most recently a top ranking senior associate with Marcus and Millichap Investment Real Estate Brokerage Company on the West Coast. He earned his Bachelors Degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He is licensed as California Real Estate Agent and also holds his Series 22 and Series 63 securities licenses.
